This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our browser extension ("the Extension"), the current website ("the Website") and any associated services ("the Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner.
Depending on the features you use, the Extension may handle account information, authentication tokens, Patreon creator and post information, preferences, and Patreon session cookies when you grant optional cookie access. The Extension automatically reads Patreon.com pages to identify a creator's campaign number, name, avatar, and URL. This information is stored locally on your device and may be synchronized with the Patreon Easy Downloader service so you can manage your selected creators. The Extension also processes Patreon posts, media information, files, and download links only as necessary to display and download content you are authorized to access. We do not use this information for advertising or sell it to third parties.
If you sign in to the Extension, we may receive and store your email address and authentication tokens in the browser's local extension storage. When you use Google sign-in, the Extension receives a Google authentication token and sends it securely to our authentication service to sign you in; the Extension does not access or store your Google password. These tokens are used only to authenticate you, maintain your session, synchronize selected creator information, and provide the Extension's features. Authentication data is not used for advertising or sold to third parties. You can remove locally stored sign-in data by signing out, clearing the Extension's storage, or uninstalling the Extension.
If you explicitly grant the optional cookies permission, the Extension may read Patreon session cookies and store an obfuscated copy in the browser's local extension storage. When you initiate a supported stream download, the Extension may send the obfuscated cookie data to the Patreon Easy Downloader API at https://patreon.cosmious.com. This allows the service to process the download using your existing Patreon session. The Extension does not directly transmit the stored obfuscated cookie copy to Patreon. The Extension or the service may make authenticated Patreon requests when required to process a download that you initiate. The cookie data is not used for tracking or advertising and is not sold to third parties.
The Extension stores settings, creator information, post metadata, download status, authentication information, and optional Patreon session-cookie data in your browser's local Extension storage. This data remains on your device until you clear the Extension storage, sign out, or uninstall the Extension.
When necessary to provide the Extension's features, selected information may be transmitted to the following recipients:

The Website may collect information such as your email address, account details, IP address, support messages, subscription information, and transaction details. This information is used to provide accounts, process subscriptions, communicate with you, provide support, improve security, and comply with legal obligations.
Payment information is processed by Stripe and/or PayPal, depending on the payment method you choose. We do not store complete payment-card numbers on our own servers. The payment processor may process payment details according to its own privacy policy.
Website account and transaction information is shared only with Cosmious, Stripe and/or PayPal, hosting and infrastructure providers, email providers, and authorities where legally required. These providers process information only as necessary to provide, secure, and operate the Website.
IP Address Collection and Use for Personalization Purposes: We are committed to providing a personalized and user-friendly experience on our Website. To achieve this, we may collect and process your IP address solely when you are actively using our Website. This information is used exclusively to determine your approximate geographical location, such as your city or timezone, which enables us to tailor certain elements of your experience. For example, this allows us to display content in your preferred language and align displayed times and dates with your local timezone. Our collection of IP addresses is limited to Website use. The Extension does not collect, process, or use IP addresses for personalization, tracking, advertising, or analytics. Furthermore, we do not use your IP address to determine your precise location beyond a general geographic area, and we do not retain, share, or utilize this information for tracking, advertising, or analytics.
Order Data: If you purchase a Premium subscription through our Website, Stripe or PayPal processes your payment information and order details. This information is necessary to provide your Premium subscription and is handled according to the applicable payment provider's privacy policy. The Extension does not collect or store your complete payment-card information.
Transaction Emails: We may send transaction-related emails through the Website, including purchase confirmations, subscription updates, billing notices, and important account or service information.
Synchronization with Our Service: When you use the creator synchronization or account features, the Extension may send selected creator metadata to https://patreon.cosmious.com. This metadata may include creator names, campaign IDs, creator URLs, and creator avatar URLs. We use this information only to synchronize your selected Patreon creators and provide related Extension features. We do not send your downloaded files or Patreon passwords for this purpose, and we do not use this metadata for advertising or sell it to third parties.
External Services: The Extension may connect to Patreon, Google, Google Drive, Mega, and other supported file-hosting services when you use features that require those services. These connections are used only to authenticate your account, retrieve Patreon content or file metadata, and download files that you select. The Extension does not use these connections to monitor unrelated browsing activity, display advertising, or sell your information.
Limited Use of User Data: We use user data only when necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Extension's user-facing features. We do not use user data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
No Selling or Advertising: We do not sell user data or share it with advertisers. Data may be disclosed to the service providers and external services identified in this policy only when necessary to provide the Extension or Website, comply with the law, or protect security and legal rights.
Data Retention: Extension data stored locally remains on your device until you clear the Extension's storage, sign out, revoke the relevant permission, or uninstall the Extension. When you use a supported stream download, the obfuscated Patreon cookie data may be stored in your account record and used only for authenticated downloads. It may remain there until it is replaced, removed, or your account data is deleted. Other personal information is retained only as long as needed to provide the service or comply with legal obligations.
Our Extension requires certain permissions to function effectively and provide you with the related services. The Extension does not use these permissions to monitor unrelated browsing activity or for advertising. Below is a list of the permissions requested and how they are used:
